Cultus Lake Trail Race: A Community-Focused Event Raising $11,000 for Chilliwack Organizations
The annual Around the Lake Give’R Take 30 Trail Race in Chilliwack has become more than just a test of endurance—it’s a testament to community spirit and support. Held on October 19, 2024, the race attracted 325 participants who traversed a challenging 30-kilometre course around Cultus Lake, either solo or in relay teams. Despite facing adverse weather conditions, including an atmospheric river that drenched the region with nearly 100 mm of rain, the event raised $11,000 for local organizations and students.
Financial Contributions and Beneficiaries
The funds raised were distributed among various local groups and initiatives:
