The trails and lands around Cultus Lake, that are host to our trail race, are within S’ólh Téméxw, the unceded traditional territory of the Stó:lō peoples. The Stó:lō (Peoples of the River) include multiple different First Nations who live, fish, hunt, harvest and recreate within the area we call the Fraser Valley and have done so for thousands of years. Cultus Lake has always been, and remains, an important place for the Stó:lō. With gratitude, we honour and acknowledge these traditional lands.
